Online Tool For Special Concern Resource Project Prescreening and Review
Presentation Abstract
If you have future project plans an would like to know if any rare species are known to exist in the vicinity of that project, you are in luck! DCNR and the Pennsylvania Natural Heritage Program have developed an online GIS tool which allows users to search project areas for potential conflicts with special concern resources. This enables users to pre-screen potential sites and to incorporate any special resource issues upfront in the planning process. Additional information will soon be available to assist in county-level land use planning and proactive conservation work. In the meantime, visit the new tool at www.naturalheritage.state.pa.us
