Presentation Abstract
Since 2003, DCNR's Bureau of Topographic and Geologic Survey has been working on creating partnerships with counties in an effort to create a seamless GIS of the Commonwealth at a scale of use at the local level. This session will provide an update oin the data collection and plans for the future.

Chris Vanderheyden : BAE Systems
Chris Vanderheyden, Local/State Business Development Manager; BAE Systems ADR Mr. Vanderheyden is a Senior Business Development Manager for BAE Systems ADR where he is responsible for developing and designing GIS, remote sensing, and photogrammetric mapping projects specifically for local and state government agencies. Chris has over 16 years of experience in the industry and has a strong background in a wide range of geospatial related technologies. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
Jay Parrish : DCNR TopoGeo
Dr. Jay Parrish is a geophysicist who has worked in oil exploration, remote sensing, forensic environmental remote sensing, radar geobotany, biogeophysics, and managed a county GIS program. he is currently the State Geologist of Pennsylvania.
