About Conference Registration
Registration for the GIS for Local Government Conference will be accepted by mail, fax, or online through October 6, 2005. Registration fees cover registration, morning and afternoon break service and lunch. The registration fee after August 1 is $195. The registration fee for late registrations who register after October 6 is $230. A $120 cancellation fee will be assessed for conference cancellations received after October 6 or no-shows.
Upon receipt of registration, the Office of Conferences and Short Courses will send you a confirmation letter detailing specific program information. Walk-in registrations will be accepted only as space allows.
To register, return the completed registration form by fax or mail with payment by October 3 2005 or register online at http://conferences.cas.psu.edu/GIS/registration.htm. Click on “register online” to complete the registration and credit card process on the secure e-commerce site. The Office of Conferences and Short Courses will send you a confirmation letter detailing specific program information. Cancellation/Refund Policy
The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course activity due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If the conference is canceled or postponed, the University will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for other costs, charges or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.
Conference Location
The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel is perched on a knoll overlooking Mt. Nittany. The hotel is surrounded by jogging and biking trails and has an indoor lap pool, whirlpool, and sauna. It also has a fully equipped fitness center and 38 dedicated meeting rooms, including state-of-the-art conference rooms, breakout rooms, a forum center, and a multi-station computer lab. The Gardens Restaurant serves classic cuisine and Legends provides casual dining and bar service.
Conference Lodging
A block of hotel rooms is reserved from October 17-18, 2005 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel at a rate of $98/single and $108/double per night, plus tax. Please make your overnight accommodations by calling The Penn Stater toll-free at 800-233-7505 or 814-863-5000 and request a room from the GIS1119, GIS for Local Government Conference block.
