Presentation Outline: Introduction GIS Project Evolution Architecture Demonstration of SelectSites Select Sites Objectives Provide a mechanism for economic development entities or private development firms (members) to market their sites in the State of Pennsylvania at one central location. Enable economic development entities or private development firms to leverage information regarding site readiness requirements, site selection mechanics, impact of regulatory factors and much more to enhance property portfolio competitiveness. Provide a common standard of site readiness to improve the state's portfolio of available sites and to enhance the ability of prospects to locate and identify them.

Speaker Biographical Information

Jason Matjasic, Director of Technical Development: Team Pennsylvania Foundation

Jason Matjasic is the Director of Technical Development for Team Pennsylvania Foundation. Since joining the Foundation in 1997, Jason has worked to bring technical solutions to the economic development process in Pennsylvania through numerous statewide initiatives. Past accomplishments include the administration of a statewide information system used to analyze PA as a viable option for business relocation or expansion, the Business Resource Network. Currently, Jason and staff are launching a GIS-enabled statewide commercial property initiative called SelectSites. Prior to joining the Foundation, Jason worked in the commercial banking industry and with the PA Department of Commerce. He is a graduate of Penn State where he received a Master's in Information Systems.
