The workshop will begin by exploring basic Mobile GIS concepts, present an overview of technology options and demonstrate benefits. The hands-on portion of the workshop includes the opportunity for participants to use Mobile GIS on a demonstration project. Weather permitting; participants will use Mobile GIS to collect data with handheld PCs with GPS units loaded with ESRI’s ArcPAD 6 and Trimble GPS Correct software.
